Do’s – What to Compost All biodegradable matter can be put inside the bin like Vegetable waste (shredded or small chunks) / fruits & its peels (shredded or small chunks) / cooked food / fruit seeds/ crushed egg shells/ cooked non-veg waste (shredded or small chunks)/ coconut fibre / soiled food / tea bags / coffee grinds/leaf plates / garden waste/ twigs / puja flowers/ garlands .

Don’ts – What not to Compost Coconut shells / spoiled food packets / spoiled milk or any other liquid foods / big chunks of fruits / Sanitary napkins / disposable diapers / bandages / any material contaminated with blood / Glass/ wire/ fabric / leather/ rubber /thermocol/ plastic bags / metals / E-waste/hazardous waste / Debris / recyclables will not decompose and hence advised not to be added into the bin. No dry waste is allowed.

Instructions of Usage . Spread 1 cm layer of Greenrich Microbes at the bottom of the bin . Add 3 inches of waste to the bin and spread Greenrich Microbes evenly on top of the waste. Now again add 3 inches of waste and spread Greenrich Microbes on top. Check & Drain the leachate every 3rd day from the tap provided in the bottom tank. The leachate can be used as a Bio Booster. It can be mixed with water in the ratio 1:10 and used on plants. Repeat the process till the bin fills up in appro. 30 days. Leave the first bin closed for appro. 30 days to compost, by covering it with a layer of microbes. Start the above process in second bin. Both bins can be used alternatively and rich manure is collected.
